Boy, there's a lot to keep track of in these final weeks. The airline has changed our itinerary a bit, our service assignment for N.O. was just released, and our travel arrangements to Seattle (to catch the aforementioned flights) are coming together. It feels like things are ramping up and I imagine that time will fly by until we're all standing in the parking lot with a slightly dazed look in our eyes and saying our goodbyes to family and friends.
We still hope to raise a little more money to lessen the expense for students and their families. We've done well, I think. The total cost for the 14 of us is $17,920 (plus spending money)! It amounts to about $1,280 per person and we've raised enough to bring the cost down to a couple hundred per person! If we could sell 20 more stock certificates at $100/piece....! :-)
Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement for our youth here at LCM. We're looking forward to sharing our experience with you all and putting what we learn to work for God in our community!
